I've noticed on my mate's Q5 that the wheel arch has a thin plastic strip protruding out a cm or two all the way around, almost acting like a mudflap of sorts...
I wonder if this is its intended purpose and whether something like this could be retro-fitted to the macan?
If you look carefully on the Macan, it has clear film stuck on the leading edge of the rear wheel arch - presumably to stop similar gravel rash when off roading?
I researched xpel clear film last night and it is available for every panel of the macan ..no prices yet but this stuff needs pro fitting and looks brill but they dont recommend it for the headlamp glass which is what I'm most concerned with. .
Ricksta68 Had a Q5 before the MACAN, depending on what model you have determines the wheel size, I had a S LINE PLUS and because this comes with wider wheels the plastic W/A extension is needed to bring the W/A out slightly probably to conform with legal requirements ,I have the similar strip on the rear w/a of our MACAN not sure if it's standard or because we have the 21in wheels.. Hmm - not noticed it on mine (got 20"s)... care to take a photo of it next time you're free so that I can compare?
