So after dreaming of owning a Porsche for more years than I can remember (definitely more than 30!) I have today put down a deposit on a new Macan GTS. Test drove this morning and lucked out with an available build slot, so should be here June or may be July. I won't have long to play with the configurator, which is probably a good thing, but current thinking is along these lines - https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRJIYUM4.
You will see a definite black and red theme.
Looking forward to contributing to the discussions in the future.
What a (good) day

Arriving in June, all being well. Slightly tweaked to now include Bose - https://configurator.porsche.com/en-GB/ ... m=PS4LXHU0
Nice spec! I'd add Surround View.
Macan S collected 4 Dec 2017 - Jet Black, 20" SportDesign, Agate/Pebble, 18-way, Pano roof, Bi-Xenons with PDLS, Surround View, PASM, PS+, spare wheel, towbar.

Decent spec, black is hard work but looks great when kept well and good call on the GTS interior. Wouldn’t bother with the puddle lights but definitely add surround view.

Wish you well with it. Nice spec. I would also add surround view as it makes it so much easier to park. Opinions are divided re Bose, but I'd add it unless you really don't care and will be keeping the car a long time

Congrats on the GTS order! You’re lucky, as that’s a really short lead time compared to what many have had on here for their S or GTS Macans!
Looking forward to the pics when you get it.
Cheers,
Simon

All good and a sensible [circa 10%] spend on your options.
Personally I think that puddle lights and auto-dipping mirrors, with the tinted rear windows are uneccessary.
I would add Speed limit indicator @ £204.00
You could check out more actual Macans and their options at the OPC(s), including extended test drives.
Also take adantage of the Porsche Driving Experience half day, at PEC Silverstone, that comes free with your new Macan,
Wishing you good luck with your first Porsche ownership experience.

Welcome to the forum. A couple of minor suggestions. As standard, the GTS lettering on the sideblades is virtually invisible. Might be worth considering specifying the red option. Would stand out well against the black body colour.
I agree with everyone who suggested ditching the Porsche puddle lights (the standard ones are fine) and putting the money towards Surround View. Just be aware that roof rails can't be retrofitted. I have no idea if the lack of them affects resale value but don't fit them if that's the only reason for selecting them.
