Gen 1 Water Ingress
It took three attempts to get it fixed.
Attempt 1: Fixed blocked drain (Failed within few days)
Attempt 2: Used sealant aronud the weather strip (Failed again within few days)
Attempt 3: Took down the whole roofliner and replaced the cassette (Sold the car in the end and now waiting to collect a new Gen 3 S next week with no roof)
The whole saga lasted 3 months...Luckily all costs covered by warranty
After endless issues on my Tiguan with the roof causing a multitude of sensor issues and made it a regular non runner, no pano roof was key to my spec. The ones that go wrong cause way too much hassle.

I've not had any trouble with either of my Tiguan's sunroofs (TDi for 3 years and current TSi for 7 years) and I'm a bit concerned that ordering a Macan S with sunroof is going to cause me grief! Ditto battery drain. Tiguan happily sits for 4-6 weeks when I'm away and starts on the button!

The trouble was the difficulty to get a loan car. It took 4 to 6 weeks in advance to book one. At the end, I was left without a car for 3 weeks over the 3 months period...

I have had no issues with the pano roof on either of my Macans in over 6 yrs. During the first Covid lock down I left my 3 yr old Macan SD standing outdoors for 5 weeks. It started first time.
Problems are inevitably posted, but rarely reliable continual good service.

I said I'd report back on water Ingress on my Macan. Took car to Autofarm near Bicester (Oxon) whose specialism is 911's but they now also do Macan and Cayanne's . They did fix water ingress from Pano roof, not expensive, lovely people and some fantastic cars to look at. https://autofarm.co.uk/

So much for the Technicians at OPC's being trained, knowledgeable and worth the Β£200+ per hour labour rate!

What did they do to fix it?
Are you sending Porsche the bill?
Best ask them but it involved using sealant to ensure the pano water channels can not leak into area that should always be dry.
and yes Covered by seller's warranty.
I have a similar problem in my 2018 macan with pano roof. Noticed passenger footwell wet , been dried out and been in 2 Porsche specialists but no cause has been found. Car is parked on my drive sloping towards the passenger side and today after a couple of days rain I found drips from beside the glovebox down onto the cable loom inside the passenger door. Anyone any ideas where this could be coming from. Glovebox is dry inside.
