Had a nice email from my OPC on Friday it seems my car is now in the UK and should be with the OPC on Tuesday they have arranged a meeting later next week to go through the paperwork and for me to have a look at the car before PDI which will be good to see it with all the protection wrapping on, hopefully i can take some pictures. They have also offers me a selection of 24 reg plates to chose from. As said before they have agreed to let me have the car In March for the new reg which was a nice surprise. No doubt at the meeting they will try and sell me GAP insurance but have already had a decent quote and looking at having the front end PPF'd and the car ceramic coated but not by Porsche. Not sure if others reading this thread who had their cars built in January have heard similar news?.

Congrats, I'm about a week/10 days behind you I think. My build slot was supposed to be 9th Feb, but it got moved up, and entered the body shop on the 1st Feb and completed build on the 7th. I expect it's sat in Emden currently.

This is different to my own experience. My understanding is that cars are PDI'd at the VAG Prep centre outside Sheerness where they do all prep then deliver to the dealerships. OPC should just attach number plates (plus any extras e.g. dash cam, mats etc), clean and prepare readiness for collectionM30LEV wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 8:59 pm Had a nice email from my OPC on Friday it seems my car is now in the UK and should be with the OPC on Tuesday they have arranged a meeting later next week to go through the paperwork and for me to have a look at the car before PDI which will be good to see it with all the protection wrapping on, hopefully i can take some pictures. There'll be some packaging to be removed, like this:
http://www.porsche-code.com/PP37WLA6, a Dolomite Silver S, collected from Stockport OPC on Valentine's Day 2023, after a 399 day wait.
Ex.: Gen2 S, Volcano grey 1/9/19 - 3/2/23 & 39,235 Smiles, RIP

It's officially sat in Emden. According to the OPC, Porsche share the transport with the rest of the VAG car brands, and Porsche are one of the smallest assigned along with Lamborghini. So it depends on a few more variables when it will shipdammitjanet wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 9:41 pmCongrats, I'm about a week/10 days behind you I think. Correct, It arrives as shipped from Germany with all the necessary protective wrapping still on the car, the OPC will then get to work and ready the car for your collection, see attached, mine as it arrived at the OPC.
