Short update, had the test drive today and was fortunate to have a brand new GTS to play with.

Guess you all know how awesome this car is but being used to an AMG C43 I thought the acceleration would be similar. Pleasantly surprised with the ooomph in comparison when overtaking. Not sure I have felt similar power since having a supercharged Monaro.

Needless to say I am now in the queue with deposit paid 😁

So latest configuration that’s I am happy with and used for my order.

My final couple of choices I fancy are the illuminated door sills and illuminated Porsche logo on open doors. Anyone have these and got views on having them?

I had the illuminated sills, very useful for ones ego for all of the three seconds it takes to get in the car.

Your spec is good, in line with the GTS less is more ethos.

Do take a look at ACC if you use Cruise Control, the standard system is constant speed.

The only thing that I wished I had included was Insulated and Privacy Glass, its not a noisy interior as standard but I’m getting older and like quieter music hence a quieter cabin.

Hope the wait is bearable.

BTW, you have a trip to the PEC at Silverstone to look forward to.

I have the puddle lights with Porsche logo - and I am a fan of puddles lights and they are not that expensive so a tick from me (unless ordinary non logo lights are standard).

Having said that, you have a nice modestly specced car and if you are contemplating spending a bit more, the door sills and puddle lights are more than 50% of the cost of Bose upgrade. Lots of comments on pros and cons of Bose on the forum but I think it is both a decent system and a reasonable cost option. That is where I’d spend a bit more money.

I like the idea as a contrast and had it on another car. Happy to take feedback if this is potentially going to look odd!

Since I posted I did think it may be better to have something more useful! It’s hard to draw a line financially.
