Welcome to the Forum Shaun.

I’d definitely go Macan GTS out of those 3. For me the Maserati is stupidity overpriced for the power on offer. And for the full fat 500+ BHP version, it’s even more stupidity priced. Makes the Macan look a right bargain.

The one benefit of buying (ordering) new is that you can have your Macan exactly as you want it. Porsche is brilliant for still allowing its customers to buy what options they want, rather than packs meaning you only get 2 options you do want, and 3 you probably don’t.

Unlike other manufacturers cars on the second hand market, there’s probably no, or very few Macans with the same spec.

Good luck with your decision.

I had a long journey into my Macan. Tested/considered GLC AMG43, Jaguar E & F Pace, BMW X3 M40i and Maserati Levante [no Grecale at the time]. Macan won on build quality, handling, performance and appropriate size for my needs. Unfortunately I had to cancel my first order for a new car (S) in early 2020 due redundancy caused by covid pandemic. Subsequently, back in the market early this year I decided to look for preowned as I personally do not like the touch controls, GTS if I could find the right one, however after 5 months searching I found a peach; MY 2020 Turbo, Mamba Green, v.low Milage & high spec. The 2.9 V6 440bhp is a great package with the air suspension and 18 way seats. Initially wasn’t too sure about the colour, but my Mrs loved it, so that sealed it. I have been pleasantly surprised about the number of very positive comments received about the ‘marmite’ colour, which far outweigh the one or 2 ‘haters’. 5 months of driving have confirmed I definitely made the right choice, appropriately comfortable when transporting others and driving like a chauffeur, transformed when on my own on a twisty road in Sport/Sport+, it puts a grin on my face every time I sit in and turn the key and that is worth its weight in gold! In my opinion you will not regret getting a new GTS for the overall package and it would be a great choice, but I would still consider preowned if you can find the the right spec.
Now - Macan Turbo (MY20), Mamba Green/High Gloss Black :D
Cancelled due to COVID redundancy :-( - Macan S, Silver

I was looking at a GLC AMG 43, not out till March. The salesman offered a test drive in the estate version to get a feel for the engine. The car the dealer had had a fault on it, so they brought one in from another branch that also had a fault, good start. Went to the Porsche dealer and like you say, here are the keys take it out. Come back when you are done. Now expecting my new Macan in March :D
I had a C43 AMG Estate a while back and it's a great engine. What's the stats on the GLC43?

The new GLC AMG 43 is a 2ltr 4 cylinder, 0-60 4.8 secs. I currently have the 3ltr V6 and like it. But wasnt sure about the new 2ltr model hence wanting a test drive. The dealer having 2 cars off the road for over a week didn't give me confidence. At the end of the day the merc and the Macan S as I have spec'd it are simialr in price.

I do believe they ask you to pay for the event if you don't take the car and ask for your deposit back :!:
