Too high for what, resale?

I get its 18k-ish a year but I wouldn't say thats too high in terms if wear and tear or normal useage. Understand its quite a social car and not normally one for racking up miles but, if its the cheapest one in the world, and has decent history, it cant be too bad a move?

I once bought a three year old Mondeo with 75k miles on it (slightly less money) no warranty to compare to the Porsche and it happily did another 60k before the dual mass flywheel killed it off. So I would but only with the warranty.

One question would be about the brake discs, if its got the Surface Coated disk they're pricey to replace but unlikely they are the originals...

I bet you won't want to sell it in 6 months though :D

Welcome!

If you only plan to keep the car for 6 months, it might be a high risk strategy re: depreciation/resale etc.

Maybe just buy a banger for 6 months or rent a cheap car? 🤔

Fewer perspective buyers when you come to sell it mainly, I’d be reluctant to buy a car with such high mileage, not everyone is like me but I think most are for a porsche

How many miles a year will you put on it?

Remember, you can extend the warranty to 15yrs/125k miles. So if you were going to do only 5k miles per year you could enjoy worry free motoring for another 11 years.

Have you driven it? I had an SQ5 as a loan car once but didn't like it at all. I reckon you'll prefer it to anything Audi have had lately.

You could always do as I did with my 981 and ask the seller to put it through a Porsche 111 point check which you'll pay for direct. Although this OPC check is perhaps a tick box exercise, if the seller refuses... walk away. If it does fail on anything you can renegotiate the price or ask the seller to put it right.

If it’s still has a year of Porsche extended warranty your covered. Wouldn't buy it if your keeping short term you will lose out as there is not a great take up for high mileage Porsche’s, although nothing wrong with it and probably a lot of long distance racking it up. The MOT is out in a few days so you need to get the seller to sort that. Would also haggle the price down a bit more, it has some kerbing on one or two wheels and driver seat bolster is showing some sagging. How’s the bodywork close up? Definitely a long term prospect if your ongoing miles are low and keeping the warranty up. I like it. 👍

As Neil says - check those brakes out. They are expensive to repair and could be getting towards the end of their life if they have been used moderately hard

Thanks all, appreciate your feedback, and confirmed my concerns. Either needs to be a hell of a lot cheaper, or I need to own it and get value from it for a fair while.
