Collected my GTS late this afternoon.
Really pleased with how it looks, especially like the wheels and the interior.
First impressions on a short drive home compared to the now departed Gen I Turbo we’ve had for about 8 months.
Really liking the more modern interior. Haven’t got my 14 way seats sorted but it took me the best part of 6 months to really get comfortable with the 18 ways in the turbo. I still think the 14 ways will be best for us, time will tell. One small point, initially it felt like I was sitting a bit higher in the GTS, I wonder if the seat cooling makes the seat base slightly higher?
The ride in the GTS is certainly a bit firmer than the Turbo (which was on 20 inch wheels and no air) but even with a fairly easy drive home I can tell the GTS is going to be more fun to hustle along. On medium throttle from 1,500 to 3,000 revs, it feels like it pulls at a similar rate to the Turbo, but it is noticeable that the engine has a more “growly” sound. I always thought the Turbo had a good sound, in the mid to higher rev range it sounds to me like a turbine engine, I think the GTS will be quite different.
I mentioned in a recent post that the Turbo has really got under my skin these past months, especially as it showed an incredibly broad range of capability as it took us 4,000+ miles around Europe over the past 6 weeks. I’m looking forward to learning about the GTS and am hopeful it will set the bar even higher.
A couple of pictures from this afternoon…

I’ll try and do some better pics when the sun is out, in the meantime a bit of plagiarism, IMO one of the best pictures of Gentian + GT wheels in Satin Platinum is from a fellow forum member (but he has the wrong interior!).Tidesurge3 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:42 pm Gentian and platinum GT wheels look fantastic.
