Has anyone had any success replacing the wind deflector for the pano roof?
Hit a pigeon and the deflector took the brunt of the impact and one of the plastic arms has snapped. Replacement ordered through Porsche for £100, was hoping it would be an easy enough DIY job to switch it out.
Pano roof wind deflector
If a spotty youth in an OPC can do it, I'm sure you can! Always worth a search on YouTube for clues though.Rhazleton wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 6:56 am Has anyone had any success replacing the wind deflector for the pano roof?

Hahaha, thanks for the replies. You can imagine my intrepedation as I turned round to see if a half dead bird was flapping about in the back!! Luckily the deflector did its job and no sight of the pigeon
I’ve just been out and pleased to report, it’s an easy job! Despite the OPC sucking through their teeth and joking that they’d see me back this afternoon asking them to fit it.
Not much stuff online, so I took some photos and will post them up later to hopefully help others in a similar situation. All in, happy it only cost me £100! Thanks for the replies.

Here is a guide, for anyone who needs to replace their pano roof wind deflector.
The part number is P95B877651A (wind deflector) and was £79 + VAT from OPC as of August 2023. It includes everything you need, the plastic frame, fabric deflector and two springs.
Frist, remove the two springs which pull the deflector up when the roof opens. Next, remove the fabric part which is held in place by plastic clips as shown in the images below. Just apply enough pressure and lift to ease the part out of its frame / grip. There are maybe 10 or so of these along the length of the deflector. Next, there is a small rivet, one each side (labelled #3) and once this has been removed, the plastic arms (labelled 1 and 2) simply slide out of their track. To fit, simply repeat the steps in reverse.
Hope this helps anyone else who comes across this problem.
