I was told the same back in Sept 2019 about voice control and I didn't bother with it for 3 years. After that, don't remember why now, I gave it a go, it's excellent, use it frequently for destinations on the fly and media "management". That leaves me wondering if it has improved in those three years, I reckon the ACC did so over that time, or were they were just wrong? Who'd ever think that possible?

It's an excellent question but mine's been working fine all that time. I imagine it's down to complication, implementing constant evolution of the App to broaden its functioning while fixing bugs and getting everything to work across umpteen versions of car. Oh and there's just one guy who knows enough and has been there long enough to be able dodto this. Then maybe that's led to setup being a bit unfriendly and this hence it's unsurprising that "us lot" might occasionally cock it up. I'm making no excuses, it should be idiot proof to set up, or the dealerships be trained properly to do it on delivery (amongst other things). Just my theory!

Frankly, no idea why but might be worth trying to delete and re-pair your phone.

Same here. There is a PCM update due on my car the next time it visits the OPC. This a three hour download. I think I have read somehere this may solve the issue but Iam not 100 % sure
2019 Macan S Porsche code PKW8WKI8
Try connecting the car to your home WiFi system and try to update.
I did have issues and the OPC had my car for two days applying a patch and downloading, but my in car data SIM was not up to the task and it was only resolved when they connected it to their WiFi system and even then it took all night.
Why updates cannot be downloaded on a PC and transferred to an SD card and loaded that way is beyond me, this is how my Audi had its maps updated.

No idea if my PCM needs updating. Car was built March 2018.
3 hours!? Does anything take that long to update these days?! I’m clearly no tech geek, but I thought software was better/quicker than that these days?
