Couldn’t agree more, extended leather makes it feel like a luxury car. It should really be standard - without it feels cheaper than a Porsche should IMO
Unless you’re an audiophile you won’t regret not spending so much money on a Burm sound system for the car. Buy it for the house instead!
How hard are door top plastics? (or Burmester vs Extended leather)
I have the extra leather bits on dashboard, centre console etc but not top of doors. We have a very well behaved Cockapoo dog and the thought of leather across the top of the doors fills me with horror on the rare occasion he might jump up.
Macan S MY 2023
Extended leather with contrasting stitching is the way forward. My old Macan S had been damaged by the previous owner who shut the seat belt buckle in the door and damaged the leather on the door card. It was easily fixed by a leather specialist, I don’t think plastic could be repaired in this way.
June 2017 Macan GTS in Carmine red with 21” gloss black sport classics, GTS leather package, Air, PASM, PDLS+, pano roof, Sports Chrono, 18 way seats, BOSE, surround view, heated seats front and rear, carbon side blades and carbon interior package.

It's hard to justify an extra £1450.00 for the contrasting stitching , although it does look very smart.Kleynie wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 8:41 pm Extended leather with contrasting stitching is the way forward. I have black and pebble and this gives contrast on top of doors and dashboard where you see it

Ah well, there I might have to disagree :p I'd love to be in a concert hall twice a day - ideally performing, but listening is a good second.
But I'm now stealing myself for disappointment as having found my perfect configuration I doubt they'll get a build in before the new manufacturing year.

Yes , same here, spoke to the SE yesterday. I'm No 5 on their waiting list and their next allocations are for June & July but they only get about 2 a month if they're lucky. I could be No3 as they have two " probables but not definitely" so I'll have to wait and see.kalniel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 9:51 amAh well, there I might have to disagree :p I'd love to be in a concert hall twice a day - ideally performing, but listening is a good second.

If the increase is 4% my Macan is going to be circa £70k, had a quick look at an Audi Q5 edition 1 and save myself £20k but unfortunately I really want a Macan.
I’m in similar boat, coming back to SUV from Audi S3 and nothing comes close to Macan in the same segment, Audi Q3/5 a bit boring, Merc downright ugly and BMW although great cars, I just don’t like that huge grill.Scooby_Doo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 1:53 pmYes , same here, spoke to the SE yesterday. My MB was in for an MOT last week and I had a good look at the new GLC , inside was OK but way too much chrome on the outside, they do a Black Edition in the EU and it looked really smart. Also went next door to Audi but no Q5 in the showroom. The Edition 1 has leather and Black pack and I am tempted.2japs wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 11:29 amI’m in similar boat, coming back to SUV from Audi S3 and nothing comes close to Macan in the same segment, Audi Q3/5 a bit boring, Merc downright ugly and BMW although great cars, I just don’t like that huge grill.Scooby_Doo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 1:53 pmYes , same here, spoke to the SE yesterday.
