Not me but I thought about it. Don’t know if they are firmer but to be honest with the air con on full chat in 35 degrees, I felt perfectly comfortable without.
May be someone with them can comment?

I see your points, but also one assumes they design seats to be comfortable regardless of how many ways of adjustment it has.

I have 14 way now on my new Macan S after having 18 way on my previous 69 plate S. The 18 ways were very supportive but a tad harder to get in and out of and I had to virtually lift my 100 year old Father in Law into the front passenger seat. Just drove from Southampton to St Albans and then home to Merseyside and the 14 ways were supremely comfortable too, no lower back ache like I normally got with past BMWs

I have ventilated 18 way. It is now more than 3 years since I sat in a Macan seat other than my own so unable to quote on comparative firmness but 18 way are fairly firm anyway.

I have always been happy with 18 way and the ventilated has been well worthwhile in this weather

I believe its due to the sheet/membrane they use between the foam and the fans? (pretty sure that's what I read somewhere when I considered speccing it)

Try all 3 out if possible - I did and the 8 way are perfectly fine for US.
All depends on age / body shape.
As others have said you have to try them out yourself don’t go on anyones recommendation whether it’s 8/14/18 way.

I've just driven 1600 miles to Seville and whilst the seats are firm the ventilation and having a cool airstream on your back and bum make it well worth it. Just like heating it is a personal choice. For the dozen days a year you use it, it adds another layer of luxury to the car.
