Good evening all, after nosing around here for a good while now and have learnt lots, thank you and hello all.

I put a deposit down on a Macan back in February and have recently been given a build slot for the last week in Sept for, hopefully, delivery in Oct. Have gone pretty option light but think I've specced a car that will do us for several years.

let me know you thoughts, not that I'm going change anything now ;)

Baddiel.

Welcome aboard

Not sure you’ve learnt too much here

Don’t buy the base because of the engine and the grey isn’t grey it’s more brown

Other than that…

What else have you got - you say third Porsche ?

You may have nosied around but have you taken onboard what has been written?

What use is it going to be tasked with, ie school run, home to station, shopping, bag to golf course?

A base Macan with no PASM is not a car that I would drive any further than a five mile round trip.

There is a Base in Crayon at the Gym I use and it has the same wheels as you have with black roof rails/windows. They powdercoated them gloss black and whilst I am not a huge fan of black wheels I assumed they were the £3k GT 21" ones until I took a closer look and they go well with all the back accents. Just an idea for an inexpensive upgrade once you get it.

I would probably have PASM and a regular metallic colour if I was sticking to your budget but perhaps on 19" wheels it rides well enough not to need it.

I’m not a fan of black wheels either but I had thought of getting colour changed, perhaps to something similar to Titanium !

With regards to PASM, I test drove without, on 19’s and found it to be more than adequate.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Clearly you've given thought to what's important to you. Not sure I'd want to spend the next few years just relying on the audible warning when reversing but to each his own.

Enjoy your car when it arrives.
