I drove an S many years ago within minimal spec, no PASM, 8 way seats, it was dire as the ride was very harsh and the seats offered me zero support.

Roll on the years and the loaner base with 8 way seats.

I drove it around the Lake District, where the 8 ways still offered minimal comfort but the flat back gives zero support but at least the car had PASM and hence a comfortable ride.

By your height Inam presuming you are female and hence you have more curve to your spine than us guys and the concern I have for you is on longer drives your back will not be adequately supported.

Do go for 14 or 18 way.

A car of this class should not really be offered for sale with a seating configuration that goes back to the 70’s.

14 way every time for me, I found the 18 way high bolsters too intrusive for my liking, & certainly not easy to get in or out of.

I tried them and ruled them out after 30 seconds and went 14w which I love. The 8w are the same seat as 14w without lumbar or extending under thigh bolsters.
I have extended leather which is great but would always have at least the dashboard etc in leather for this level of car - not all will agree and seat choice is always devisive but should ALWAYS be based on your requirements for comfort and support I think
I've read a lot about the 18-ways looking worn over time due to the bolsters creasing so that's something I'm bearing in mind. I think I'm mostly leaning toward the 8-ways with leather as I do feel the car needs some leather finishing to the cabin, but those 18-ways just look so good! I'm really hoping my OPC has each seat style available to test in their cars when I go in next week as it's impossible to decide based on the configurator alone :?
I've only ever gone for 18way seats on all three of my Porsches and so am not in a position to comment on the two other options. I had my Macan SD for five years (43k miles) and it was only towards the end that the bolsters looked worn. Two years into my GTS and no sign of wear. Seats are a very personal choice but buying them for the way they look is not necessarily the best option.

One further reason for speccing 14 or 18 way is that you can then add seat ventilation. It was lovely today arriving without a shirt clinging to my back.

Ditto with 8-way and Alcantara. So much better and without the expense. 8-)

Strongly advise you to try them all out if possible as everyone commenting will be of all different shapes sizes and ages!
We went for the 8 way, we are young and and found them perfectly comfortable for us.

As I said when I specced mine, paying for vented seats for the 2 days a year the sun comes out in the UK is a waste of money……. my opinion may have changed slightly over the last week 🥺

On that note, I was driving yesterday in an indicated 31 degrees and had air conditioning set to 20 degrees - I actually had to adjust it because was getting too cold!!
