Just been to my OPC to look at the CRM swatch. I was surprised, as Argo says, how dark it was.
To be honest, if the sun or a showroom spotlight isn't on it you'd be forgiven for thinking it was metallic black.
In the car park was a Panny in Cherry with high gloss black windows etc. It looked stunning. It's such a shame the Macan doesn't seem to get a look in on full colour palette availability.
Agate Grey and Quartzite Grey would be far better replacements for Volcano in my opinion.
I rang Silverstone up and the CRM that you saw Argo, is out on loan until 1st of August.

In other news, I asked about PCM 6.0 coming to the Macan and the reply was a big fat yes for all MY23 built cars.

Anyhoo, here's some comparison pics, CRM with Cherry, and CRM with Carmine and Papaya.

I think cherry is a far more attractive colour particularly on a big car. Such a shame it’s not offered for the Macan.

Pleased to see those and it was just as expected going on the pictures we had before.
Looks very similar to Amethyst too

Strangely the wheels in body colour actually look pretty good

Unfortunately, the car was out with a service customer until Saturday, fortunately however, I checked before taking the 47 minute detour!

I was under the impression PCM 6 is not possible due to hardware constraints unless they are changing hardware in MY23. I'll believe it when I see it in my Macan. Can't imagine the pre MY23 owners would be too pleased about this if there is functionality that would be useful

I've heard this from two separate OPCs in the last few weeks.
Looks like you'll be on the cusp of MY22/23 builds. Unfortunately I guess somebody has to be. I asked if my end of November build would fall within and the answer was a definite yes, so you never know, you might be alright.

Will check with my salesperson too as our GTS is due to be built in September.
In my case it makes the price increase a bit more bearable if it does have the later PCM - I ordered a month after you Martin.
If our cars were MY23 we would have paid less too don’t forget.

Great photos Cobnapint. I have no dog in this fight, having just taken delivery of my new car, but that CRM looks fantastic and with Pebble Interior and Satin Platinum GT wheels would be my choice if I had to lockdown tomorrow. Reminds me of the BMW Individual colours. I had Carbon Black on a 5 Series which had a really great blue/black colour up close and in full sun but was definitely perceived as black from a distance.
