So VW have decided to pay up in Deiselgate action rather than go to trial.

"Cough up" is quite appropriate.
I think it would have been better if VW had given all the money to the NHS who have to pick up the cost of the increase in asthma caused by diesel fumes.

No, the NHS would just waste it by hiring a load more "managers" on £150K.....
