Personally, I funded my last purchase with a mix of mortgage and 0% on credit card.

I have used Clydesdale previously too, who came out with a lower interest rate than Porsche Finance.
Presuming there was a fee with the CC option? I've changed my financing from PCP to loan and CC. Can't stomach the £8k interest over 4 years, plus mine may be a short term ownership.

Porsche said they would match my banks PCP offering (Halifax @ 4.9%) and Clydesdale quoted too but they were £9k interest.

^^^ There was a maximum they’d take by credit card without charging a fee. Was a while ago now. May have been around £5k? I think the OPC have some discretion on this.

Ah, you paid the dealer directly by CC. Yeah, the limit isn't high enough. Paid deposit on CC but thats as much as they'd take.

I was referring to money transfer and/or balance transfer. Can't perform the latter as I don't have one. And was looking at the lowest fee.

No charge made for debit card transaction, or online bank transfer, but had to do online payments in lumps of no more than £10k at a time.

If you plan ahead, you can even write instructions to your bank to pay the full amount. It will probably take 3 to 4 days to clear. :D

I guess different banks have different rules, and also probably different rules for different clients. My bank lets me do £20K at a time on my debit card, and I don't think there's a limit for online payments.

You can, but I'd always want to see the car before I pay for it.

The right to refuse delivery is not a simple case of "I don't like it so I won't take delivery or pay" . You have to show material fault. A minor matter does not invalidate your contract.

Of course, but if, for example, the car isn't built to the spec you ordered, if you haven't paid for it you have a lot more negotiating room.

I agree, as soon as they have your money it’s much harder to just walk away.
