Collection day has finally been and gone and yesterday marked the day where I said goodbye to the best and most surprising car I have ever been lucky enough to own, a 2016 Macan GTS. I drove away in a car which I had ordered over 9 months ago in the 22 GTS.

On my way to the dealership my random music playlist decided play Dolly Parton - Jolene & AL Green - let's stay together back to back. I chuckled to myself as if the car was pleading with me to not be swapped  (I spend alot of time alone so yeah, my mind went there) I might name the new one Jolene though :?:

Any feeling of historic sentiment soon vanished when the drape was removed and seeing crayon grey for the first time. No music on the exit, just exhaust notes!

I believe that I somehow slipped through a few configerator gaps as the PCCB option was removed very soon after I placed the order. The dealership was unable to confirm that they had been fitted until last month so it's been an odd order process.

Some pics below. Smiles all the way home .

Absolutely stunning that!
Love the colour combo, everything just works. That’s the best I’ve seen crayon look as well.

Any interior shots?
How did it drive compared to the old one as well?
Sorry lots of questions, I have something very similar inbound.

Hey, Thank you. I'll get some interior shots today as the rain struck yesteray. It's a standard black/alcantra/crayon stitched interior. Very similar the previous models though so you feel very much at home already if your an existing Macan owner. The removal of analoge buttons to a digital panel is probably the most noticable change.

I'll hold off for a while before I really run it but to me, it feels much tighter, more refined and my goodness the exhaust sounds other worldy on start up! I'm not sure what they did but it's loud... really loud. All very similar, just better if that makes sence?

Same here, Crayon GTS inbound (June hopefully) it’s a really odd colour, I love it until my brain starts to think it’s beige, then it fry’s my brain and I can’t unsee that hue/shade/tone. Then it pops back to the grey white and looks awesome again. Bizarre beautiful colour

Thank you!

The configerator seemed 'fairly' accurate in the case of crayon. More so than the visual dimensions of the car  . I'd also never seen the color offline so took a bit of a leap. Very happy now seeing it.

Love the gloss black side blades. I think the gloss black GT wheels pair up perfectly with this combo. I have the Matt RS Spyders so I think it would look weird with gloss black side blades so opted to have them colour coded

Not holding my breath just yet. I paid deposit tail end of August and yet to hear anything in way of build slot but had been updated there will be more allocations in next 2 weeks at my local OPC. Then MY23 is round the corner too

Congratulations, Karl!

Your GTS looks awesome! Great photos, but I’m guessing you’re a professional photographer? :geek:

The PCCB calipers look stunning. Some people may think they’re overkill on an SUV, but they really add to the look of the car. :D

Enjoy many happy miles in Jolene! ;)

Cheers,
Simon
