Are Porsche actually making any new cars at the moment?
It is true, hence posting

Great! Choose a manufacturing base with regular power blackouts. That'll be a smooth system of supply, then
I'd expect they'll set up a production line somewhere in Europe for supply logistics. Short term, maybe they've outsourced to the African continent, but doubtful that would be a longterm arrangement
Best, Ade

Was told in confidence today by a reliable Porsche employee (let’s leave it there for obvious reasons) . I also questioned the quality of production, he assured me that Porsche are a nightmare with vetting new manufacturers and that the standards are super high. Also adding that they already produce wiring looms for the trade. That’s as much as I know chaps

My (several times delayed) "locked in production" date was last Friday. Now showing as 'actual' rather than 'expected' which I'm taking to be positive news.
'22 Macan S, GB, 14W/XL, AAS, PA/SV, ACC, LCA, PG, HF/RS, VFS, EETS, 75L, etc, etc.
That's encouraging then. I'll take any kind of good news I can at this point! Just need Porsche to sort out their chip supply. Given the rate Ford seem to churn out Bronco's in the US, its a wonder why Porsche are struggling so much with this still.TK421 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 3:50 pmWas told in confidence today by a reliable Porsche employee (let’s leave it there for obvious reasons) . Porsche Wiring harnesses are made by Leoni AG, already out sourced, along with many other automotive electrical components. They have factories all over the world, it's down to setting up a new production site/destination, machinery and jigs etc, that's what takes the time. No matter who Porsche goes with it will take the same time to set this up, it's not an over night job but can take up to 6 months for this.
