Have any of you fine men been to Monaco Grand Prix?
It’s a little late in a year for planning 2022 event, but I am curious what are the better companies that are organising tickets, accommodation… are there any firms that have premium service with a visit to the pit-line?
Any useful intel would be welcome. I will probably land up doing it in 2023, but need to start doing research, so that I am well prepared.
Monaco Grand Prix
We went a few years ago. Put together a DIY trip. Flight to Nice. Taxi to a pre-booked hotel in Nice. Train to and fro Monaco, a very easy journey. Bought F1 entrance and stand tickets direct from the organiser.
Great atmosphere at the GP on both days and Nice a good base with great hotels, restaurants and bars.

I’ve been with Paragon which is owned by Phil Tufnell. Very well organised and we got invited to Phils yacht on the Friday evening at no extra cost. I’m going this year on a bit of a diy tour, I’m afraid you’re far too late for this year, start planning for next year.
Try and stay at Le Meridian on Nice sea front, it has a roof top bar/swimming pool and is near the old town where all the night life is. Monaco is lifeless until Sunday evening when you can walk the track and see the A listers at Casino Square. The Fairmont is good on Sunday evening with live bands and dancing, but €25 for a bottle of beer. Best to go back to Nice for reasonably priced drinks and food.
I’ve also been with Thomas Cook Sports a couple of times, but nowhere near as good as Paragon.

Go the week before. Great to see the build up and you can get access to the pits and see a lot of behind the scenes stuff. We even bumped into Hamilton when he arrived in Nice to transfer to Monaco. Then watch from the comfort of a hotel elsewhere.
I went 15 years ago but company I worked for organised it and we took customers. Flew to Nice too. Stayed just across border in Italy, then train to Monaco.
Don't forget to take ear defenders as the noise those cars make at full tilt is excruciating.

Maybe they were noisy 15 years ago but now they just sound like 2.0 Macan now don’t they??

Been 1/2 dozen times in the noughties.Mostly on our own boat and wondered off to a pre booked seat .
Skipper drops us off in Fontvieille .Saves the crowds . He anchors off and when it finished we ping him and he collects us .
Based in Cannes it’s under a hr by fast boat .
The classic GP a few weeks earlier is actually better , less crowded and more cars etc .Once got a berth for that one near the paddock .
Done it to death now .

@SAC1 I like your style, DIY will allow me to park my wife in a comfortable spot, while I joll around the course.
@Kleynie, was it Paragon bank UK, or Paragon ZA? The yacht party sounds like added bonus good thinking re Le Meridian, sounds like a good base.
@Macananon, where do you get a pass to the pits, before the races?
@Petew0557, where did you stay in Italy? I have been to Nice many times… I fancy an idea of being the only 911 guy in Ferrari land (if I get one in time)
@Macanboy, living the dream. I was told by marketing director that parking a large yacht in the marina during F1 GP, circa 2001, was a cool $1,000,000… must be once in a lifetime experience
