However I had fantastic fun a few months back when riding my MTB down a single track lane, coming towards me was a possy of 4 abreast roadies all attempting to beat their PB down the lane....they clearly expected me to move over for them despite me being less than 1m from the edge my side of the road...bearing in mind my 2.6inch wide Maxis Minon front tyre, 1m+ wide handlebars, and body armour I won...two went into the verge. Clearly I stopped to check they were Ok and admire their bent front wheels and torn Lycra.
My eldest son is a keen trial rider on some expensive fancy bike. He wears pads all over and a helmet. Two weeks ago he came off and shoulder charged a small tree. The tree is fine for any Aborists reading but his left shoulder isn't. He tore his supraspinatus tendon which is as painful as it is is long. It connects the humerus to the Supraspinatus. Obviously I am copying the Consultants report which has a caveat which reads 'It;s f***'. He drives to these events as he considers riding on the road too dangerous. Oh the irony.
Dolomite Silver 'S' with red leather 14 way seats, Pano roof, Bose, Air suspension with pasm, Chrono pack, PDLS, Surround view, 911 turbo wheels, heated screen, spare wheel, ioniser,75 lt tank, black tail pipes, black roof rails.

Sorry to hear Cheshire Cat....I've had 2 shoulder injuries requiring surgery as a result of my MTB enduro / trail riding so can sympathise with your son.....sounds painful and hope he is OK...its a great sport but with risks...made all the more fun when having to use lanes you 'run into' Roadies beats hitting trees!

I used to cycle on the road, but after being pushed off the road by cagers, twice, I got myself eMTB and I love it! If I fall it’s because I did something stupid, not because of inconsiderate cager.

However, what annoys me most, are motorcycle riders splitting lines in a hi-vis jacked and sign “think bike”. How about you think car(!?) for the record, I ride motorcycle, in a leather jacket without hi-vis fashion statement, and stick to my line.

I might regret this, but what’s a cager?
