1/ I haven’t been given a contract yet.
2/ totally unenforceable
3/ six months might be about right anyway looking at six month old demo prices.
My neighbour had JLR try a similar thing on him for his new V8 defender. Two weeks later sold on open market with a £23k profit. Nothing JLR can do as he owned the asset outright.

Yeah, I’d love to see them try and enforce that clause. These are the kind of things that concern me with this brand to be fair. Rolex are similar in that if you are caught flipping your new watch, they will blacklist you from buying another one.Jon A wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 12:59 pmWell, three things.Bluesnose1812 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 12:49 pmDidn't you see the clause in the contract where you agreed not to sell for 6 months?

Check clause 2e of the contract. It is a legal document and is enforceable. If you don't like the terms then negotiate. Don't think you can ignore them, otherwise why did you sign the agreement?TK421 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 1:04 pmYeah, I’d love to see them try and enforce that clause. I don’t have an agreement and certainly didn’t sign anything. I’ll take my chances Bluesnose if I decide to go that routeBluesnose1812 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 1:31 pmCheck clause 2e of the contract. Enforceable how? Send round the police? Or take a customer to court? I’m sure that would go down well in the news for the brand?
Love to see the T&C’s on that, but thanks for the heads up on that as if I do get presented with any type of contract I’ll be putting a line through that clause. How ridiculous is that, you pay RRP with zero % discount and you’re not allowed to sell it within 6 months? Porsche certainly holds its customer base in high regards doesn’t it.
I’ll be buying my car outright, if I want to sell it for whatever reason I’ll sell it .
I bet they’d happily waiver it if it suited them, let’s say you trade it in for a new 992.

But how do you sue them for breach of contract if they don't deliver? Check what happened when you paid the deposit.Jon A wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 1:56 pmI don’t have an agreement and certainly didn’t sign anything. I'm fairly certain that it's a clause to stop serial speculators. However if you try to strike it out what do you do if they refuse to , just walk away or chance it? They have a 12 month waitlist of punters who will sign it, they don't need your conditional order.TK421 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 2:05 pm Enforceable how? Send round the police? I think this is more about "Commercial" gain by non OPCs etc.. who order a number of cars and sell them for mucho moro money. Don't think it matters too much if Joe Bloggs does it..
