Had the new Macan S for a couple of months now and happy to report that we really like it. Was pleasantly surprised to see the returned MPG on the motorway when sat at 74/76 MPH..........
Not bad at all. How many miles have you done so far? My S has done 1500 miles since mid January so still in the engine break-in period but I do average about 30mpg.
We've done around 2500 miles now :D
I've just clocked up 28,000. 6k on Sainsbury's Super then 13k VPower and the last 8k Esso Supreme. 24.824 mpg overall (no obvious difference between flavours) best tankful was 31.285mpg, motorway blast from Canterbury to Sheffield and back.

As for coffee, or something stronger, anytime!

At some stage you may wish to record actual fuel used v miles and compare that to the reading on the MFD.

I would expect MFD to read a bit over the actual.

My SD read 10% high and my current Turbo also reads 10% high.

My MFD showed 30 mpg on a northbound run up the M6 from J32 Preston to the border with Scotland on a quiet day with the ACC set at its usual Mway cruising speed.

My Gen 2 S actual average mpg over the past 7126 miles is 26.98...that is using the ‘brim to brim’ method of refilling.

I did a 250 mile round trip at around 60mph and averaged 37mpg which I thought was pretty amazing considering the car only had around 200 miles on the clock at start of trip. Guess 70mph would bring figure down to around 28ish.

Col, that's what I do, just like AllanG, sad I know, but it's all in a spreadsheet! I do look at the readout on the MFD, it's probably my default display panel, but don't take any great notice of it, it's just of passing interest really.

Just done 800 miles Geneva to Yorkshire in a SD Ave was 41.5 mpg . Following national speed limits .
82 mph on French Autoroutes did 39.5 mpg to Calais , then in the U.K. with M20 , M25 ,traffic some 50 zones on the M1 it crept up to 41.5 over 14.1/2 running hrs . Said av speed was 61 mph .

Did GVA to Calias without a fuel stop saw 870 km range with its 75 L tank .Sort of helps avoiding motorway service prices .

They make nice mile munchers .

Nice. I got an indicated 34mpg on a trip from Deal in Kent to Oxford on Saturday evening. As Col says, I normally assume that the computer is around 10% overly generous on fuel consumption figures. ;)

Yesterday on the M1 cruising at 70mph. Not bad for a 2 tonne car that’s still opening her wings (engine break-in).
