Hi all,

Joined the Forums and interested to read many of the posts, shared experiences, endless spec debates... and delivery dates!

Finally joining the party with deposit paid and started the process for a new Macan GTS... very excited!! I imaging the excitement may wane with the projected delivery dates well into 2023... OUCH!

A long way off locking any specifications, but the results of 'many hours' in the configurator (:

Option 2: https://cc.porsche.com/icc/ccCall.do?us ... e=PNIXJNS7

Looking forward to seeing all the cars arrive in 2022!!

Welcome to the forum.
I'm sure you will be on and off the configurator a few hundred times as we all do as the wait is so long. As for spec I tend not to comment as everyone has different ideas and I'm sure you will get plenty of do and don'ts on here. The only comment/suggestion I have is think about adding spare wheel or gunk and compressor.

I'd do a hybrid of the two, Crayon with extended race-tex inside. Gentian is beautiful too but can be a bit dull in our climate 80% of the time.

The wait will fly in, I ordered middle of last year and pick mine up next week!

Couple of things you may, or may not be aware of...

Adaptive cruise is absolutely brilliant but you get regular cruise as standard if it's not a feature you'll use often.
You get front heat seating as standard, if you don't often take passengers in the rear.

And if you spend too much time in the confuserator, you end up with this….

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Good ideas for the spare wheel, dealer also recommended so will make sure its in the final spec.

Adaptive is brilliant, and will defo be a 'tick'. My kids are finally out of car seats so a little treat for them to keep warm... plus avoid the fighting for front seat (:

Just hoping not too much changes in regards to available options, paint/wheel combos. Reading some items added/removed depending on supply chain, not too mention possible price rises.... fingers crossed!

Anyone else been quoted 12-18mths?

All the best,

p.s. Back to the configurator

Not wishing to pop your bubble, but I think you should be looking at 18 months plus. Porsche are very behind due to many factors as we know, currently factory closed due to parts shortages but possibly opening Monday coming be it at a very reduced production run. There are many that have not even had an allocation as of yet that ordered middle of last year before orders went crazy. Even when you get an allocation it's another 3 months before you get it at least. So even some of the early orders will be around 12 months as I said before orders went crazy beginning of August last year, there was an announcement by Porsche last September that future orders would be at least 12 months plus and that was 6 months ago. Good luck

We picked our Macan S up on Wednesday - the OPC said any new orders placed today for the S are at least 12 months. I can only imagine GTS would be longer sadly!

For at least 12 months it would appear some Macans will Depreciation proof...

Welcome.

Spare Wheel, plus buy a sealant kit from Halfords to give options.

Add Surround Cam, rear and side quarter vision is poor.

Upgrade seats, personally I would not touch a Macan with 8 way seats as the back support is non existent. 8 and 18 way are a very snug fit and you have no wiggle/fidget room. If you are built how shall we say, large you sit on 18 way not in them. Both 14/18 way also have squab length adjustments hence you can fine tune these seats for an exact fit.

Consider including Rear Airbags

Other than the above your specs are spot on but I would go with the Gentian, I saw a crayon GTS last week, it looked like a Primer coat.
