Ah, well..... everything on the app worked for me for the first year BUT in relation to that lock/unlock, as I recall, trying to use it just resulted in a message to say it wasn't available on the Macan!

Ok cool I get car location that might be useful. The car will auto lock anyway after a set time if you have the key?
All the other stuff is a joke! Even loading sat nav destinations would literally take longer than the six or seven seconds it would take a voice command while in the car. I would never dream of paying anything for this stuff it’s just not useable….

For now I’m not paying for it. It comes free for the first year. I certainly wont be renewing as there’s no point.

For one thing you can tell if your car has been nicked .....

As I found out when on holiday in Majorca and was showing my son-in-law how the BMW app worked. 3 times I reset my phone because it kept on showing the car 10 miles away from home. Checked the Webcam and it confirmed that the car had indeed been nicked. It was fortunate I was showing him on day 2 of the holiday rather than day 6. Police located it straight away from the postcode I could give them and the insurance theft claim became a vandilism case as theyd ripped out the rear looking for the app SIM. Police said that thieves usually park a car up for a few days to see if a tracker has been activated before going back to it. Then it's a case of breaking for spares.

Worst holiday I have ever experienced. I reversed the hire car into a overhanging branch and smashed the rear window. The weather was freezing so we were all huddling together in a villa without heating, even the grandkids couldn't use the swimming pool it was so cold and to cap it all I had a 'silent' heart attack discovered when I got back and went to the doc's as I'd been short of breath.

No. Not a great holiday at all. We will never go to anywhere north of Africa for an Easter break again

REMOTE - Locked / unlocked and Exterior mirrors folded in [or not]
TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING - with schematic of top up / reduce in bar
LAST TRIP - Travel tme / Distance .#/ Consumption / Speed
TOTAL TRIP - ditto
INFO - model / colour / No. Plate / VIN
MESSAGES
FIND MY CAR - Horn / Flash lights / Route from smartphone to car in real time
SECURITY - Geo fence / set max speed

They are all present and correct and in no conflict with the other app. So the best of both available.

on android Connect no longer works if you have My Porsche but Car Connect still works

connect just shows this. When you pick the the Porsche Car Connect button it just goes to the app store and says the app is no longer available.

Which implies that the Gen3 S firmware has not had all the functions implemented yet.
