Morning All,

After a short 4 weeks I came to the decision last weekend to part ways with my beautiful Macan, for some reason (I’m not sure why) but I simply couldn’t get comfortable in it and I was getting leg/foot ache/pain. So I decided that with so much money in the car I didn’t want to keep something that just wasn’t working for me. Fortunately in this silly market I didn’t lose anything on it.

I picked up its replacement yesterday, a brand new Mercedes AMG E53 Estate (wagon?!) Premium Plus Night Edition! It’s has a healthy 435bhp, it certainly shifts and makes an awesome sound! And most importantly of all I was really comfortable on the 150 mile trip home!

I would like to say thank you to this great community for your help when I was specing and waiting for my Macan! Really is a friendly forum!!

Just a couple of pictures because I know we all love pictures!

Lovely replacement! Sad the macan had to go but for the right personal reasons. Did you sell the macan back to Porsche?

Thanks! No I sold it to Redline Specialist Cars. Can’t complain, I came out around £4k over what I paid (although I had a decent discount so I didn’t sell for much more than the OTR price I paid) which went along way towards affording the E53. Redline were super easy and quick to deal with although their mark up is hilarious!

100% it’s still such an odd market! And I was very lucky to get a great deal on the Merc! Managed to get it for almost £4K under list!

Thanks, loving it so far, though I think it will be a month until I find my way though the millions settings it seems to have!

Do you think the 14 way seats would have been more comfortable?

Two great looking cars! :)

Funnily enough, I sold my 2.0 Macan after 4 weeks, back in 2016. Mine was to swap for a pre-owned 991.1 Carrera. 8-)

Sadly, they were more ‘normal’ times back then, so I did lose a bit, but (apart from financially) I had no regrets.

Enjoy the Merc, and I’m sure your Macan will find a good home.
