That is excellent. I passed my test in my Mums 1966 Renault 10. I was taught to drive by Len our milkman!!!

Unless you're old enough to remember Austin and Morris you've probably not hear of the fastest milkman in the west.

I took my test in a Ford Escort 1100L.
First bought car was a Simca 1100, what a heap that was, definitely made a mistake buying that.
So many things went wrong with it that I worked what I was paying out I could afford a loan for a new car.
Next car was a brand new Ford Escort Mk2 RS Mexico, I then went on to three Escort RS2000's

I remember Austin and Morris and Ernie!!!!!
The first car I bought was a harvest gold (same colour as the Princess in this thread) Morris Marina 1.3 DeLux. DeLux meant it had a mono MW/LW radio and a fag lighter!!! £330 bargain. Sold it a year later for £300 to buy a turquoise 2.0l Manta Berlinetta. A bit of a step up as that had velour seats!!!!!
