Damage could occur post SE visual check.
Your go.
Unlikely once in the showroom. Game over.
Yeah, nobody goes in the showroom do they?
Read of 1 customer who had folk sitting in the back of HIS car whilst it was waiting for pick up.
Good try though 👍🏻
Cars are cordoned off and covered prior to collection at my OPC so very little chance of damage occurring after this stage. As I said, game over.

Try my OPC then, I've been looking at cars in the showroom that are waiting for collection that day that aren't covered up.
Salesman said my car was in the showroom for a week before I picked it up.

Good to see you say "very little chance of damage occurring after this stage" you know it can happen by the sounds of it.
Extra time.

But a poorly hung door or misaligned bonnet doesn't happen because the cleaner was a little over enthusiastic with the floor mop, or because a casual visitor's Rolex accidentally made contact with the paintwork.

I look at this as if I were the SE - which I was, albeit at a Ford dealership, 40 years ago. Sure the PDI should pick up any problem, but I always inspected every car I sold before handing it over to the customer, as much as anything to avoid looking a prat myself if there were any flaws.

I watched a Taycan being moved from storage area to showroom handover area. The car was brought from around the back and then parked next to other cars while doors were opened to allow entry to the showroom and in this five minutes, a customer got into her car next to parked Taycan and opened her door into it!
I was also parked in the car park and watched this play out. The Taycan was then moved into the showroom and nobody is any the wiser (apart from the lady that opened her door). Don’t know if it was actually dinged but certainly could have been…

That's the stage I think mine was dinged, between PDI and showroom. There were no other cars in the showroom whose doors could have opened on to it where it was parked on the launchpad.
Of course it could have happened at the factory, docks, boat or anywhere else between Leipzig and Leicester. I'll never know.

Looks like the market has collapsed - or an OPC employee is for the high jump ;)

Huge mileage for a last year registered car and yes it's a Gen1.
