If that coupe like rear is the standard version then it looks as if the Macan will become an SuV. Not as useful as the ICE one.

I bought my GTS as a keeper and I haven't seen anything yet that makes me want to change my mind.

What is a good small EV to drive to and leave at a train station for a day?

I am thinking of BMW i3. Good ride, relatively narrow for parking and my dogs will probably approve of it.

If that's all I was going to use it for then I'd buy the cheapest second hand EV available. Unless the station is more than a hundred miles away😁

That's exactly what we did 2 years ago. We bought an i3 with a Range Extender and about 18000 miles on the clock. The REX is not made any more, but we were so pleased with it that we tracked down a newer one with only 6000 miles. Mrs old stewardess loves it to bits and I use it whenever I only have a local journey. I have to say that being able to precondition the car on these cold mornings is a real EV bonus.

I don’t really get this.

“ Porsche envisions its charging stations as luxury lounges, where EV owners can have a drink and relax while their vehicles are plugged in. ”

It’s not an airport. People need charging everywhere and they want it quickly.

Tesla also demonstrating (Netherlands, Norway, bits of France and Belgium) that opening private sites to all is the way forward.

If Porsche want to differentiate themselves, put Porsche branded charging at race tracks so the rare few Porsche owners who remember what Porsche is about can track their EVs.

Edit: having said that, Rugby Services is possible the nicest place to charge an EV of any flavour.

Currently Porsche Centre Carnforth then nothing until the OPC at Glasgow.

Quite a task Porsche have to build a facility every say 150 miles on Mways.

Adding facilities at Killington would give the best coffee and charge stop.

Begs the question in years to come just how the Porsche EV club members will operate when on their meets.
