Agree bonnet is just fine but the door trim on drivers side doesn’t appear to be in line with the edge of the door! 😳
You're right but this is what happens when you concentrate on one particular area. Seems like the top section of Black plastic could have been a touch wider across the door which would align more but frankly I'll live with it as can't imagine the tin of worms waiting for me if OPC gets involved
Wouldn’t bother me Mack the rest of the gaps are all good and that is hardly noticeable without looking at close up photos 👍
Too late!! My paranoia has gone up a gear

When I chose to order a Macan, I wasn't really expecting to get a car with impeccable fit and finish - rather a car which had been carefully developed to give great handling and driver satisfaction. I haven't been disappointed by the car (although OPCs leave a lot to be desired).
Macan S collected 4 Dec 2017 - Jet Black, 20" SportDesign, Agate/Pebble, 18-way, Pano roof, Bi-Xenons with PDLS, Surround View, PASM, PS+, spare wheel, towbar.

+1

If mine had been that good without any flaring, I doubt I would have even noticed tbh.

Well my bonnet has now been successfully realigned without any painting by Road & Race restorations under warranty. So it can be sorted, you just need a sympathetic dealer to put your case forward.

Note the guy from R&R who delivered the Macan said they’ve done quite a few in the North West already.

Hi,

Do you have any before and after photos? Who was your OPC? What was done exactly? Was it the bonnet hinge or altering the door / side panels?

My original OPC was Perth, but as I live in north Wales it was done through Chester. I believe the wings , bonnet and front bumper were adjusted. I don’t believe the doors were touched.

I will try and take some pics over the weekend and show before/after images.

Wow, looks perfect now.
1. Were your ‘before’ photos when the bonnet was hot? Looks identical to mine.
2. Did Chester OPC fix it based on looks or did they measure the panel gaps and confirmed it was not within tolerance.
3. All done under warranty?

I literally would have left the car at the dealer if they tried to handover with that alignment. That’s some of the worst I’ve seen. But what a cracking job. Just proves that some cars simply are not getting the QA they deserve at the factory.
