I don’t believe the Cyclops people have produced an Android version.

No, nothing visible but my tearaway daughter is an Apple user and seems quite keen on the idea!

Thank you kindly but it'll take more than that to make me buy an iPhone. I have a long standing aversion to anything that's proprietary, closed source and/or potentially monopolistic. Currently on the lookout for a Google substitute!

Finally got call from OPC this morning that I had a build slot assigned for August build/September delivery

Was asked to pop in to lock my spec down which I have done now as I have not changed my spec since last year despite loooking on configuration every now and again. Only one thing I added was some Bordeaux red seat belts to break up the dark interior

So my final build is now: http://www.porsche-code.com/PPDF6163

FYI Deposit paid End of August.

Was longer than anticipated but I planned with exactly 1 year left on my PCP so at the most I wont have a car for 2months

Quite a bit later than I anticipated originally but with all the things going on, I suppose I should be happy that I have a slot. :)
A further Chat with my SE this week has made me feel much more settled, I now have an August build September delivery.
The November slot was a little confusion on both parts with my Cayman gts arriving in July I wanted a quick turnaround into the Macan by September as it's going to be a Daily and not wanting to put 1k miles on the Cayman each month. (Combined we've put 20k miles on the current 718 S in 17 months.)
All in all much happier now.

With lock in set for July my current spec is :

Sold : 2016 981 Boxster Spyder
Sold: 2017 pdk 718 Cayman S

Great news. This falls in line with my timelines of placing a deposit to getting a build and delivery. I think this is about the only time I’ve heard news that matches my own!

Got my build slot for my S.

Ordered 22nd April
Offered a May build slot from a cancelled order
Car got built with the wrong spec
New build slot is end of August (freeze date August 17th)
Delivery expected mid October

I originally ordered a base Macan early October last year with delivery expected by “summer” but ended up cancelling and taking delivery of the S5 that I’d also ordered which showed up first in January. Love the S5, but there’s something special about owning a Porsche that I miss, so back to my OPC I went. Test drove a base and was sorely underwhelmed, so decided to order an S instead.

Things have worked out better in the end! I’m getting an S instead of a base and only a few months later than the estimate from my original order, plus I’m in a good position when it comes to selling the S5 and will make some £££ off it. Only downside is having to pay the new MY23 price!
