I read the original post as "was told in November", not "was told it was going to be November".

Ahh yes I think you are correct but as Neil has already said “it’s a bloody lottery” and a year on he still doesn’t have a date.
On Friday it'll be a year since my first call to Stockport OPC when I spoke to the sales manager, I'll see if I can get him again at 4:30 this Friday for a chat. As a minimum I should get a fresh ETA, although ideally I'd like a guaranteed £50K trade in, whenever it arrives!

Yes. Had my `Lock-in` appointment. Amended my spec slightly as BOSE wasn't available.pstrat wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 11:18 amOrdered same time as me then. You had your lock-in appointment yet?wab172uk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 9:55 amOrdered February 2022. I was told early December that I had a February 2023 build date. But that's all I know.
I really hope my dealer wasn't lying to stop me cancelling. I was going to if it had got to the New year and no build date confirmed.
But it really made my P**s boil was when I read some people had ordered after me, and had deliveries in July / August. I guess there is some weight to some dealerships having priority over others !! They should be built in order of when the order is placed.
I'm Oop North so clearly a lower level of customer to Porsche.
This whole order process is enough to put you off the entire brand. That said, i've not waited a year to then cancel so will see it through but the lack of any kind of transparency is budget at best. Just irritates me everytime I think about it, which is daily
But I have to agree regarding the ordering process. I've had better service from Ford. Misspelt home address and emails. Lack of communication. The original salesman I dealt with left the dealership, and the guy who replaced him has been better.
I was giving them till the new year as quite frankly I was getting bored of waiting. My X3 M40i is 3 years old and only 11,000 miles on it, so started to think about keeping it. The biggest concern I had was the finance agreement. Initially I was quoted 6.4%. I would have looked around for better deals when the car was near collection. However, since interest rates have risen I was worried I'd now be getting charged 10-12% which is just daft.
Luckily when I enquired regarding the interest rate, they informed me the they had applied for finance in June, so I'm thankfully locked in at 6.4%. At 10-12% I'd have cancelled.
Finance seems to be a hot topic today, looks like you got lucky compared to some on the other post. Fortunately I don’t have that issue, something the SE was a little disappointed about, wonder why?
