Car now at Emden (since 25/4) so the supply chain disruption turned out to be about 6 weeks in my case.
Build allocations only

Good news and nice spec. Mine was at Emden a little while but longer at UK port strangely, as so few cars that they had to wait to fill a transporter to make worthwhile delivering - they waited for the following weeks boat to arrive!!

Our GTS delivered two weeks ago along with the GT design wheels. Originally build set for early Feb 22. Car finally completed mid Mar 22. Never told there possibly would be a problem with the GT design wheels so fully expected for them to be on the car. Fingers crossed that you will have the same outcome on yours.shaunyt0 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:10 amMcas wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 3:59 pm Been reading lots, but thought I would let you know current order updated today.
Apparently GT wheels are not available at the current time, no idea when they will be back. So I’ve changed to RS Spiders black.
Ordered mid August 21.
Delivery initially suggested march 22.
Allocation confirmed Early march for late may delivery.
Build slot then vanished off system.
Today build slot back for 11th June. (Out of the blue)
Order lockdown is tomorrow, so only 24 hours notice. Not a bad thing, stop me changing it every 2 mins.
Delivery…… well we shall see
Note I have 2 orders, one for next year…. Or so.
Interesting post, my lockdown is meant to 05/05/2022 and build by 12/06/2022, also its got GTS wheels, they dont sell the Python package with ought them or so I'm told.
Ill see next week if I'm informed my order is locked down.

Well I was away in the US with work in March when the dealership contacted me, initially saying certain alloys were not available or possibly going to be available and asked me to call in for a chat also to meet the salesman taking over from my original SE.
So I duly went in and had the SE and the Sales Manager what felt like at the time ganging up on me to change from the Python which comes as a package with GTS wheels and other paraphernalia to another colour. I duly went in and put a point across I had already ordered the car in the beginning of October and I had a so called sales order contract that didnt mention spec changes from them, they made a few calls and I was told I could have the wheels , in there words they said "they had found a set of wheels".
How they do that when they work a Just In Time methodology of building I dont know so up to now I havent had any other communications with them and just hoping the build etc is still on track.
Very eager to get the car after having the Porsche experience day on Monday this week.

The wheels seem to have been an issue since late last year. Porsche initially dropped some choices from the base and S cars, but kept (for example) the GT wheels as an option on the GTS. However, even though these are still shown on the configurator for the GTS, Porsche has apparently run out of them. Some final cars are coming through with GT wheels, but it looks like that's it for the next six months or so.
Current - Macan III GTS
Previous - Macan II GTS, Macan I GTS

There aren't any chips or electrical items in a wheel. How does a company like Porsche "run out" of a wheel.PaulR wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 10:48 am The wheels seem to have been an issue since late last year. If they aren't available for 6 months then maybe the extremely long wait time will have a silver lining as the GT wheels are the only wheels I want. Hopefully this is resolved by the time I get my allocation!
I believe it’s more to do with machining of the wheels.pstrat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 11:00 amThere aren't any chips or electrical items in a wheel. GT design wheels are similar if not the same as the type of wheels that usually only appear on the their GT Unicorn cars. Production of those cars are in the low 100s. With the chip shortage I’d imagine commissioning another machine/plant wouldn’t really make sense to Porsche. As the Macan already has already a fairly large range of wheels options available and sits far below any GT car in their range. Surely better keep wheels available for GT cars?
I wouldn't say its 'better' to keep the wheels for GT cars and certainly doesn't help me when it comes to my GTS. They were added as part of the Gen3 facelift and part of the Macan range of wheels so should be available accordingly. For me personally, I don't like any of the other wheels so going to be an issue if I can't have them when the time comes.MrBaozi wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 11:24 amI believe it’s more to do with machining of the wheels.pstrat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 11:00 amThere aren't any chips or electrical items in a wheel. Anyway, hopefully this nonsense is sorted by the time I need to roll in and confirm my build next year.
