Seat belt warning
Does look like a problem with the seat sensors.

I had exactly this issue last week when I had a passenger in the back. This was the first time I had rear seat passengers and when I used the car the next day, minus passenger, the seat belt warning went off.bigbaldybloke wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 10:46 pm I seem to have a problem with the rear seat belt warning indicator in my 4 month old GTS.
I don’t often have rear seat passengers, but the last couple of times I have dropped off passengers by pulling up, letting them out and driving off again without turning off the car, as soon as I drive off the rear seat belt warning light and beeper start and keep going for a few minutes. They then stop by themselves. I’ve never noticed this before, and as I say I rarely carry rear seat passengers, is this normal? It has happened with one passenger and with two. First time it happened I stopped and my wife got out to check the rear doors were properly shut and there was nothing on the seats, this made no difference and the warning beeping continued for a while after we drove off again.
It definitely didn’t happen in my previous Macan S.
It stopped after a while and hasn't done it since.

Finally got it fixed after two visits to the dealer, second time they admitted it’s a well known problem and a software fix has been produced for it.
No beeping after people get out of the back now. Magic!
No audible alarm if people get it the back and don’t fasten their seat belts, only the little men symbols staying red rather than going green, but I can live with that.

I often get 3 Red people symbols when first starting up (rear seats empty) but they go after a short while. Is this what should happen?

This is correct,.
If you have rear passengers and they fasten their seatbelts the little people turn green. If they don’t fasten the belts you just get the three little red people as usual with no audible warning, these disappear as normal after about a minute.
If people undo the rear belts in motion you do get an audible warning unless your speed is below about walking pace.
The mod stops the audible alarm sounding if you just pull up to let people out of the rear seats without turning off the ignition, without the mod the audible warning would sound as soon as you drove off and went above about 15mph. It continued for about a minute.

Just bumping this up. My Macan 3 GTS has been into the OPC twice for this rear seatbelt problem and they’ve still not been able to fix it. Has anyone had a satisfactory solution yet?Bazza06 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 8:17 pmI had exactly this issue last week when I had a passenger in the back. When I get the car back from the detailers I will check this out. It already happened that the kids got out after I came to a stop, and it set off the seat belt alarm. I thought that was a terrible design compared to most other cars on the planet, but remembered someone had criticised Porsche for this. Now this thread has bumped up, I remember the context and maybe it is a bug after all. I really hope it can be fixed. Still not 100% clear what the behaviour should be when it works correctly.
