I have the black 21" Sport Classic rims and the good thing with that color is, that they don't look dirty so soon..but the brake dust and mostly dust from the street makes them looking matt. So I found the product "Wheel Guard" from Chemical Guys http://www.chemicalguys.com/Wheel_Guard_Rim_Wheel_Sealant_8_oz_p/wac_303.htm .
It is an easy on/easy off wax that allows to remove the dust from the rims just with a water hose. I just applied it last week but it is said to last 2-3 months.
It took me 20 mins for all 4 rims incl. drying time and you can clearly feel the difference.

Greetings, Jurgen

That looks good,I have the same wheels, think the secret with any wheel is not to let them get that dirty that it becomes a big job,the Black Classics are easy to clean outside and inside,I wash them at least once per week and then wax/polish them once or twice a month with Mcquires super polish ,this keeps the dirt and brake dust off them, takes me about an hour to wash, dry and polish them easy.

I used GTechnic C5 wheel armour on mine and it works OK, but the brake dust etc doesn't just wash off with a hose as suggested, still needs some agitation with a brush or sponge. May try some CG wheel wax, if it's as good as you say.Wink

I currently use Chemical Guys (CG) on our RRE but looking to change to GTechnic C5 as it should last longer.
However the CG smells beautiful !!!!! Will a 15ml bottle of GTechnic C5 do 4 * 21" wheels.

I currently use good old fashioned diluted Bilberry sprayed on and left to dwell , then a sponge (on rims only) a bucket of water and the brake dust falls off my RRE rims, then the EZ detail brush for the inside.

Hi Spook, I bought the 30ml and have 19" wheels. I only did the outer rims and had a little under half left, so I would get the 30ml, nothing worse than running out on the last wheelAngryWink. As I said not sure about C5 but lots are, if you have some CG left why not go with that, as you're happy to date.

Hi Pookie,

Good point, the CG 's does go a long way so I have plenty left. Just looking for something new to try ( as you do), I might even get it detailed at my local detailer with C Q Finest and they can do the rims at the same time.
Lockdown not till early December so I've plenty of time for my ideas.

OK - pictures tell more than 1000 words..

2 weeks after I applied the CG Wheel Guard and the rims were only rinsed with a "higher" pressure hose....on the photo they are dry Smile

...and since it is weekend, its showertime...
