After 2,500 miles, my diesel has averaged 32.9 mpg. That is measured by fuel put back in at each fill-up and not the computer display. I find the computer display consistently shows 2-3 mpg more than the car is actually achieving.

While I was running in (first 1850 miles) I got 33.7 mpg. Since then, only 31.6 mpg so there is no sign of the engine loosening up yet Cry.

my experience of large BMW diesels it will take nearer 30K miles for the engine to properly loosen up.

Just coming up to 10,000 miles, seeing low 40's mpg on my way to work, albeit with steady driving and not much up and down hills or stopping, starting.
On my homeward commute seeing mid 30's LOLmartinw2015-08-27 14:15:04
