Configurator price V OPC price

I’ve noticed a few nearly new or new Macan GTS’ being advertised at OPC’s for way over the configurator price, don’t even think they are OTR prices. What are the reasons for the inflated prices?

Greed, basically, or "what the market will stand". If the cars are pre-registered, they can charge what they like.
Macan S collected 4 Dec 2017 - Jet Black, 20" SportDesign, Agate/Pebble, 18-way, Pano roof, Bi-Xenons with PDLS, Surround View, PASM, PS+, spare wheel, towbar.

Purely supply and demand. Two years ago the lack of new car supplies meant that 2nd hand prices were higher than list. Porsche is not a normal market, but you can now get good discounts on most marques.

Interestingly there are a couple of new GTS that are a grand or two under list too… 🤷‍♂️

At least one was carara white with Carmine GTS interior, looked really nice actually.
I can’t remember the other one, maybe Volcano?

Interesting fact in my recent negotiations on nearly new Macan GTS on the Porsche website

Bristol knocked 5k off the asking price on an over config priced Python green GTS, yet Preston would not budge on the price of their Python green GTS.

So these prices are negotiable but maybe not at all dealerships, even for cash deals !


Bristol I must add wanted me to buy the car in Feb to get it on/off the books /accounts.
