No shame there! Unlike my mate who's had a Macan since June 2019, in conversation on the golf course it emerged he hadn't discovered how to find if the tyre pressures were out of kilter! Maybe it relates to his (wife's) mileage being less in 5 years than mine was in 10 months.
Gen 1 to Gen 3 differences

It was an option on very early (pre-2016) Gen 1s - cooled glovebox came with the rear seat vents (rear of centre console) option. It was called Three Zone Climate and I paid a cool £251. I think the option became standard from 2016.
Coasting function of PDK removed in Gen3 software update.
You can explore the haptic centre console buttons, accidentally, or attempt to stab them correctly when you do wish to use them. Practise makes perfect... probably.
The rear lights are rather different. You may already have noticed this one.

Our May 2023 built car doesn’t have it - though wireless charging was the only added standard spec when the price was increased around April 2023.
CarPlay is probably a major improvement on the gen3. LED headlights standard… engine changes are the biggest difference though.

Wireless charging was introduced after the price rise, so mainly cars delivered that are a model year 24.
One difference to note thou…. Electric steering column was standard with the memory package one gen 1s and now it’s back on the configurator as an option.

No pics yet but here’s the code PR1AJMD5.
A few questions…
1. Is it right that they don’t come with a manual/service book anymore?
2. Can the CarPlay screen be expanded to fill the entire display?
3. Does the diamond button still have the same programmable ability? I like it to be the surround view.
4. Is there wireless charging somewhere?
5. Is there anything on the Gen 3 I can explore that isn’t on the Gen 1?
Thanks all.
Congrats on the new Macan!
Once you have had a chance to get to know the Gen III, I’d like to hear your view on pros and cons between the two. (I love the Gen I.)
Cheers!
