Think that might have meant he got the points. Best case scenario: he'd have to sit through a a whole new one

My Macan suffered a very low speed rear end shunt two months’ ago - faint scuffs on the rear bumper and bottom of boot lid (no dents), a tiny scratch on the plastic rear diffuser and the number plate was very slightly bent. A straightforward insurance claim against the motorist that hit me (through Admiral - who were excellent)….. ten days in the garage being repaired….and although I do not know the final cost, the garage estimate approved by Admiral was over £6000 (Plus rental courtesy car)! Jon’s would appear to be excellent value, and it is another reminder of why our insurance premiums are so high and increasing.

(I would recommend the bodywork repair garage).

Bizarrely, the same happened to our Macan in October. At a glance, you wouldn't have known, but it popped one of the number plate lights out a tad and left a small depression in the black rubbing strip under the boot lip. It was repaired at Dick Lovett in Swindon. My insurance renewal shows it costing just shy of £4k to repair (we didn't take a courtesy car).

Expensive things, accidents.....
