Not if the battery is out of condition. A trickle charger such as CTEK is a better bet.

Yes a CTEK will be able to do a complete regen which is recommended once a year anyway to extend battery life.

If the charge is an issue with low mileage is occurring due to all short trips or too infrequent long trips with no use for some period then either way putting on a charger will help

Thanks pmg, I’ve ordered a CTEK charger/conditioner with 12v socket adapter so hopefully should be able to put some life back into the battery between standing periods and actual use.

Thanks for the help fellas, purchased a genuine Porsche Tequipment charger new from e-bay, £80 delivered.....comes with all leads/cables inc 12v socket adapter.

Couple of tips.

Turn the ignition on before you plug the charger into the 12V adapter (charger should be off). Turn ignition off and turn charger on within 30s.

If the charger stops charging after a few minutes, the battery it too low and the car is disconnecting the 12V adapter. In this case you'll have to connect the charger to the terminals in the engine bay.

Charger arrived and 24 hours later battery is showing as fully charged with just a trickle feed ongoing.........job done, all memory items back fully functional..........appreciate all the help fellas :D
