Afternoon All,

Well for once a few days working from home and took the oppertunity this afternoon to go for a wee drive up the west side of Loch Lomond on the A82. After a Balloch to Ardlui drive headed back south then across the old single track Glen Fruin Road that runs from near Arden at the south side of the loch across to Garelochhead. One of my favourite roads, long straights, but also plenty blind bends and steep gradients. great driving road and I will refrain from indicating speeds achieved. Car performed really well, enjoyed it and it stuck to the road and the bends, brakes worked really well.

Enjoy the pics.

They are my fave wheels, although I prefer them where the outside of the spokes are painted black because it makes the spokes look like hot wheels cars. Wouldn’t suit Gentian with the black bits though. Yours looks fantastic.

Morning All,

Thanks for the positive words, yes lots of great roads near where I stay, love the single track roads, albeit your heart is in your mouth at times on some of the blind corners and summits, given you have no idea if somebody is coming in the other direction, you just pray they are crawling round the bends same as me. Totally diffrent driving them in mid winter at night, or when there is ice and snow. In fact not long after my sone passed his test took him on that old Glen Fruin single track road! he actually stopped the car on one blind summit and said he cant go on as he cant see the road in front of him, plus say a car was coming other direction? I did say we may be in for a long wait also what if a car was coming the other way and driver did the same? so he eventually crawled over the hill at about 2mph.
By the time we got home his T short was wringing with sweat, he now looks back and appreaciates what I was trying to show him and experience, many of us cut our driving teeth on these country roads.

Cheers GTB
