Best I have had with the GTS

I don’t get this Steve, I’ve just picked up my daughter from a B’ham airport tonight, 95 mile round trip, mostly A42 at around 75mph and achieved 31.4mph according to MFD.
I have an overall average from new of 25.5mph and 95% of trips are less than 10 miles pure urban driving. The only long trip it’s been on is a jaunt to Cornwall which showed an average 34 mpg.
May be I’m not driving her right…

Odd that the performance stats are quicker though, don’t you think?

Porsche have traditionally under quoted on performance but io could see they might wish to be more honest as say figures may imply Alfa Stelvio Quadrafolio faster when in reality little difference.
Returning to thread topic mpg , I get around 27 mpg for short outings of around 25 miles but this increases to put to 33mpg for long motorway dual carriageway runs. However I do have some motorway trips still at legal speeds and lower mpg down to say 27, if traffic means there is little constant speed cruising and a lot of accelerating back to indicated 72 mph
My worst has been 21mpg for the 6 miles trip home from Goodwood FOS late Friday afternoon at an average speed of 17mph

In 5400 miles since I picked up my 2018MY 3.6 Turbo, I have averaged (a real, calculated from fill to fill) 22.61mpg (mostly short journeys) with a best of 28.61mpg on a long run to Anglesey and the worst (for a tank full) was 20.57mpg - all shorter journeys in the Cotswolds...
Still, much better than the 17.2 mpg average I had in my RS6 V10...

Yeah but anything with a V10 needs to be driven in such a way as to send joy into the ears of anyone within hearing range.

Just a fraction of a second [0.1s for 0-60 mph].....so probably down to the timing instruments' differences.
PS and Nm are identical.
Likely to be weight? Both are tested in standard form and GTS will be fractionally heavier due to the extras on it I imagine. Both engines identical I think for Gen2 GTS and Gen3 S.
On my 2017 Macan S the Running total of MPG over 98000 miles is 24.6 mpg comprised of mostly local journeys, with a few long journeys over the 2 years of ownership. I would say about 25% of the milegae was longer journeys

And aerodynamics. The revised front end will have been put through the wind tunnel. That diamond effect isn't just for decoration it reduces drag like the dimples on a golf ball.
