Just thinking out loud...what with the increase in interest rates which look like they will just keep going up and the lead times for new Macan's...
If I put an order in now, does anyone know if the pcp Apr Porsche finance give me would be at the rate when I place the order now (5.9% or whatever) or the rate when I pick the car up which could be months away on current form and % could be much higher?

It will be at the going rate when the car payment is paid. Rates could go up to 15% over the next 6 months you won't get any one to fix now unless you start paying now.

I suggest speaking to the finance person, because I seem to recall that my rate was as per the finance quote which was a while before delivery. However, it may just be that the rate hadn’t changed by the time of delivery.

I'm in the process of sorting my finance out currently - getting quotes from 3rd parties to play against Porsche's own.
Porsche only hold their quotes for 30 days I believe.
3rd parties vary - one is two weeks, most are 30 days. Most say engage with them 2 weeks before delivery as thats ample time to sort out before needing to pay.

The 30 days seems to ring a bell.
Need to find it out rough delivery times to see if it's viable

Hi, the current VWFS PCP rate is around 6.5%. If you speak with the finance person at the OPC and ask them, they should be willing to fix the interest rate for you at the time you pay your deposit. Get this in writing and they will honour it even if the car turns up a year later !.
Macan S arrived May’22.

This is a bit left field, but you could offer to start making payments now, if it means you can fix the rate now, at 6.5% or whatever.
Personally, I funded my last purchase with a mix of mortgage and 0% on credit card.
I have used Clydesdale previously too, who came out with a lower interest rate than Porsche Finance.

Might be worth asking if they'll accept that.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 5:38 pm This is a bit left field, but you could offer to start making payments now, if it means you can fix the rate now, at 6.5% or whatever.
