Hi all. Locking down spec on my gts soon.
Think I’ve narrowed it down to gentian with the silver Rs wheels
Or dolomite with the black Rs wheels ?
Any ideas or opinions on these ? I had a white gts a few years ago so fancy something different. Crayon I like also

This can only ever really be personal opinion. I’ve had loads of Silver cars. They look ok but not exactly special. Gentian blue is a fantastic colour. I really like the Volcano grey on mine but if it weren’t an option then I would have gone gentian with pebble grey extended leather. Although Papaya is growing on me a bit……

As Omni says, everyone has different tastes. Even though my first Porsche was in Rhodium Silver with 21” Sport Classic wheels in gloss back, given your two options, I would now go for Gentian with the silver wheels, as I’m no longer a lover of black wheels. And Gentian looks like a lovely colour. :)

In fact, I’ve just had my Carrera S wheels (previously dark grey) refinished in silver!

Cheers,
Simon

Silver will never go out of fashion and wont B show scratches and stone chips like Gentian. Of course it won’t shine and gave deep gloss but that’s the pros and cons of silver

True. Silver is like grey, it “inoffensive” so is a good colour for resale.

Silver and white cars are 100% better than any colour for not showing swirls and light scratches. The darker you go the worse it gets due to the absorption and refraction of light.

Got a deposit a new S in Gentian with extended pebble however, after spending hours at the OPC looking at different colours in varying light I have come to the conclusion that I am likely to change the Gentian to Dolomite. This is all very very subjective and partly based on my current Macan which is in Volcano over Garnet which I love but I am just fed up with always driving a dirty looking car, I wash it and within a day it's looking dirty which doesn't happen with Silver. Gentian looks stunning in certain light and looks a drab blue when it's overcast to my eye plus I have always wanted a silver car although some would say it is a bit meh. Silver with the black RS Spyder wheels will look great as will Gentian with the platinum GT wheels. As it stands, I am leaning towards the Dolomite with full Bordeaux red but tbh, I'm just fed up with it all and given the situation in Europe , delivery delays, general uncertainty may just pull out. My brother in-law has a silver Mercedes, always looks gleaming despite not having being washed for weeks. You've got to love the colour that you choose so look at as many Macan's in these colours, I'm sure you will arrive at the right decision as they are both lovely.

If you go silver than I think it needs either full Darth Vader extended black leather, or mixture of black and Bordeaux. Again, just my opinion. BTW my Aston was Silver ( or grey if you don’t actually work for AM ) and it looked fantastic. Also had a silver BMW and that looked nice too.
