Wow! If the 992.2 really does offer the 4.0 naturally aspirated engine, that’ll be highly desirable, especially if it’s at a Carrera/Carrera T kind of price point, as opposed to being a GTS-only offering.

I think a lot depends on what happens with gearing. The 718 4.0 GTS's are so high gearer, that the upper rev range cannot be legally used in any gear other than 1st and possible 2nd. Maybe fine for Germany or track use but for Uk road use , some owners of the turbo 718's regret trading them in for a 4.0 GTS

I recently sold my 911 992 partly because on UK roads I could not use it’s performance to it’s full potential without exceeding speed limits. I like to be able to hear the engine but in order to do so I needed to be above about 4500 rpm.
I previously had various Boxsters and two Macans.
I sold of a lovely Boxster 981S and bought a 718GTS but didn’t keep it long as the engine really did sound naff and it suffered from slight turbo lag.
So now I’ve gone back to a really nice Boxster 981 GTS which sounds great and is actually more practical than the 911.
I’m starting to think that I shouldn’t have sold my Macan GTS though as it was a great car.
