Just to bring you up to date. I now realise that a month is a long time in the CC sphere. Also all the posters on the forum are OPC employees whose opinions are there to make you add more options before the spec cut off. Well I've rumbled you all and you can ask your bosses for bonuses as another newbie gets suckered in. http://www.porsche-code.com/PN785S74
is my 150th iteration and will not be the last no doubt. I've added £3ks worth of ego massage. Metallic rather than solid black, 14 way, vented, black rails and window trim, ACC (following a minor shunt on Friday), boot liner and seat belts in the red. Resisted chrono, PDLSplus and comfort access but how long will I be able to ?
I've joined the Club.

Looks very nice but a couple of comments which are entirely subjective and only my opinion.
Not sure it’s worth spending money on black door handles against night blue. I found GT steering wheel occluded view of dials and not as pretty as standard.
Lane change massively overrated - drove for 30 years without it no problem and never had cause for it to warn me in last two cars.
Agree with what you dropped but entirely up to you and what makes you happy - I have over indulged on mine but I am happy…

Thanks Jon. I understand your comments are an alternative. It's good to hear them and helps me reconsider my options.Jon A wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 4:23 pm Looks very nice but a couple of comments which are entirely subjective and only my opinion.

The black handles are just a nice finishing touch that will make the car different from 99% of other Nightblue Macans which according to our poll is only chosen by 5% anyway.
My first reaction on the demo car was that the std steering wheel felt a bit thin. I can arrange my view of the dials with seat and column adjustments. As I have added black trim to the exterior then I thought I should also do it to the steering wheel.
Lane change. The demo car had it and I was impressed how efficiently it worked. It will never replace the lifesaver glance over my shoulder but the light flashing in the corner of your eye means that you are always aware of cars overtaking you even when you are just pootling along.
Let's hope the end result is worth the hours spent on the configurator

Our specs have a few things in common (how many others have specced both air and acoustic glass on an S?) but I am struggling with the black door handles and boot mat as higher priority than rear apron painted body colour or sideblades in body colour.
I added the 21 inch wheels at the lockdown when I saw a new customer car roll up outside the dealership in my body/interior choice and it looked a lot better than std wheels that I was 100% certain about when I walked in to the showroom....

The proportion of my spec spent on aesthetics is just over 20%, probably the lowest of anyone spending over £10k on options. I'm not big on bling. If I could spec 18" wheels I would as I rate comfort over marginal gains in cornering ability on our roads and speeds. The loss of 1" of sidewall height would not detract from my enjoyment of the car. If I wanted to go on track days then I would probably go 22" but those days have long gone. The acoustic glass tells you where I'm at nowadays.
No doubt when I see it in the flesh I'll say I wished I'd listened to New User

Why have you dropped the running boards? It’s great to listen and absorb opinion on forums but you chose them for a reason.Bluesnose1812 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 8:18 pm Following the good advice on this thread I've dropped the running boards added the black trim and comfort access. I looked at the 14 way seats but that changes the seat leather to all red, which is too much for me so I'll stick with the 8 way. I'll be the only driver so won't be changing seat positions much. Thank you all for your comments roll on March..The sale executive reckons full production will be back by Jan and my car should be built mid Feb. Just in time for a 22 plate. What words fit ??ZZ???
