I took that with me and showed the SE at my OPC and said if they wanted me to purchase using Porsche Finance they had to sort out lowering the % rate they quoted and/incentive or I simply use my own finance being offerred from my bank.

SE dissapeared and came back with a vastly improved offer, Im presuming they dont want to loose commission on flogging Porsche PCP.

Its a a competitive market out there so what do Porshe finance want 6.5% of nothing or 4.5% of the agreed amount?

There was also a niggle to be honest, that if I took Porsche finance rather than supply my own, I may end up far further down the waiting list?

Not the other way around?! Surely if anything, NOT taking Porsche finance may push you further down the queue?! :?
Yes, you are right Wing Commander,

Yes, not taking Porsche product may have pushed me down the queue, brain still a bit foggy after New Year indulgence............

I’d hate to think that not taking Porsche Finance would push you down the queue.

I told my OPC I'd take the deal at 5.9% and paid the £3k deposit, but nothing is signed or set in stone there until you get the build locked in I guess, which is basically 9/10 months away.

Do Clysdesdale etc offer PCP loans? How does that work with the GFV and giving it back at the end? I'll have to look into this, at I'd love to lower that APR whilst keeping the GFV high.

And then I'll tell the OPC closer to the date (maybe even when i've got a build date) that I have alternative finance if they'd like to compete.

I put my deposit down on a Macan S in mid Nov and was told not to expect it before Jun. I assume Porsche honors the original price even if prices increase in the meantime. What would happen if there would be a MY change - would that also be price protected?

I’m not sure that either price or interest rates are guaranteed until at least the spec is locked in.
