Deleted Users

Is there a way to alter the forum so that previous posts by "Deleted Users" retain the original forum name. At the moment if someone decides to become a "Deleted User" then all previous posts adopt the name Deleted User plus four digits. Whilst, hopefully, this will not be a rising trend it would be nice to retain the original name for previous posts.

It's strange that it stops you from seeing their previous posts, as in, you can click on their name if it they been quoted but it says something like "user not found".
I find it weird to delete your account. The only reason to do this imo is so folk can't see what you've previously posted, covering ones arse as they say.
At some point these posters have posted something pretty useful and would be good to quote again if needed.
