Grateful for advice on what snow foam lance to use with a Karcher jet washer..
I see the Lidl Parkside was recommended c,2016 but wonder if things have moved on. It's also not clear if it will fit my Karcher.
Many thanks.

I use the autoglym one with a Karcher , it comes with the attachment. I had the Karscher own brand one before and it was complete rubbish. The autoglym has a nice big bottle, thick foam with adjustable head.

Visit ultimatefinish.co.uk and look at the kit they have.

You will see many options.

This site is where I tend to buy my cleaning kit.

There are many more reviews on that channel, but it seems like these are the best of best!

Many thanks for the replies. I'll watch the video - and hope I can work out which ones will fit my Karcher.
I do have an Ultimate Finish foam lance but I could never get it to produce a thick foam which would cling to the car.

My snow foam lance is one of their originals but when my karcher died I bought a more powerful one and that produces a much thicker and a more clinging foam

I’ve recently changed my snow cannon, but took the opportunity to ditch the Karcher lance as well.

Loads of options once you have a short trigger gun with a 1/4” quick connector.

I have now had the same Autoglym lance for a few years. It was brought cheap'ish from Halfords as part of an Autoglym promo'.
(In my garage I have 4(!) old lances, from various detailing companies, that have either stopped producing a nice thick coat of foam or have somehow leaked/ dripped etc.)

Whatever you go for, like someone mentioned, I would recommend a shortened trigger gun. You pick them up from Amazon, eBay etc.
They are easier to handle, and I find, less likely to accidentally catch on the bodywork.

Whichever model of snow foam lance you get it is worth getting some spare mesh gauze and tips. On my "old" lances they needed replacing after about 1-years use.
Note: Make sure you can dissemble your lance without too much trouble. One of my old ones needed a wrench and vice to be able to take it apart...

Thanks for the reply. After watching far too many YouTube videos, I ended up with an MJJC Pro V2.0 foam cannon and an MTM Hydro SGS35 Stainless Steel Swivel Short Trigger Gun. I also purchased a 10m Karcher style replacement Rubber Flexiwash Hose to get round the car without having to move the Karcher and deal with hose tangles..

On first use (using GTechniq foam) I found the foam was really thin and whatever settings I changed on the cannon, it was much the same. And then my Karcher K4 sprang a leak inside! An elbow joint inside had split along a seam. This seems to be a common fault. Although it could be fatigue as the K4 is about 6 years old, I'm wondering if the combination of non-standard gun, cannon and hose is causing too much pressure. Fortunately, I was able to fix it, again taking advice from YouTube. We'll see how it goes next time out!

The point of snow foam is to soak and 'drag-down' surface dirt from your car panels. Don't get too hung up over the foam being too thick, otherwise it simply won't pull off the dirt.
