Just a couple of small stone chips which I could easily touch in if I had the paint. Although I must say I’m finding the Macan a magnet for stones compared to my heavily used E Class Merc.

I genuinely think the Mercs are built using more resistant materials.

My friend has a new Gts 600 miles on clock dark wheels so chipped has just got them powder coated as Porsche would not help he is very unhappy with the way they treated him seems to be a quality issue.

Wheels are usually powder coated, so I don't know whether you could get a satisfactory paint match. It costs about £100 to get a damaged wheel professionally stripped and powder coated. I had one done and it looked like new.

No the Gen 3 wheels are a combination of diamond cut and dark titanium paint both highly lacquered. Merc use a similar combination and you can buy the touch up Paint. I have two micro stone chips which are probably best left untouched but I’d like to source the paint.

I’m interested in this too…the satin platinum one…took me all of a week to kerb one of the back alloys going through the local width restrictor - in ten years of living here, I’ve not once done that before with a previous car - that’s where I notice that the Macan might not be longer than my previous car but it is definitely wider.
